At one of the nicest lakes around Innsbruck... the whole adventure is to enter the water although you cannot see even one meter and you find these huuuge fish inside. Actually, we were tempted to find our dinner there: the fish, the ducks and the little crabs, but we decided for vegetarian food in the evening.

Aufgrund ernstzunehmender Anfragen wo ich denn umgehe habe ich mich entschlossen ein paar Bilder zu veröffentlichen:

Die Küste von Pemba - am Weg nach Unguja (die zwei Inseln Zanzibars). Pemba hat leider kaum Strände, doch die Landschaft ist fast wie daheim... wenn man von den Palmen und den Bananenstauden absieht.... stundenlange Radfahrten bieten sich an... sooo schööön.... hab ich schon erwähnt dass ich diese buckligen Rinder liebe die hier überall herumgrasen?

Stonetown aus der Luft... die größte Stadt in Unguja. Bitte zu beachten die unfertigen noch unbedeckten Häuser, die Motivnudeln zu verwechseln ähnlich sehen. Diese finden sich übrigens auch in allen möglichen Luftbildern von anderen Städten hier wieder...

Pemba ist die kleinere und unbekanntere Insel Sansibars. Die ganze Insel ist sehr von dörflichen Strukturen geprägt und einige würden den hässlichen Ausdruck von "unentwickelt" oder "unterentwickelt" verwenden weil der großteil der Bevölkerung von Subsistenzproduktion lebt. Doch was ich dort gefunden habe, hat jegliche Zweifel ausgeräumt... Die Leute aus Pemba haben schon früh verstanden was von wirklicher Notwendigkeit ist, und haben eine Spaghettimaschine entwickelt (Gefunden im Museum in ChakeChake). Die Spaghettiproduktion funktionierte folgendermassen: (1) den fette Balken kann man hoch heben, dann kommt (2) ein Loch zum Vorschein. In dieses Loch mit dem Sieb unten dran füllt man jetzt den Teig (aus Reis) und (3) voila - Spaghetti.

"A true story and its source was the Australian Quarantine Inspection Service in Adelaide.
A bloke and his family were on holidays in the United States and went to Mexico for a week. An avid cactus fan, the man bought a one-metre high, rare and expensive cactus there. On arrival back home Australian Customs said it must be quarantined for 3 months.
He finally got his cactus home. Planted it in his backyard, and over time it grew to about 2 metres. One evening while watering his garden after a warm spring day, he gave the cactus a light spray. He was amazed to see the plant shiver all over, he gave it another spray and it shivered again. He was puzzled so he rang the council who put him on to the state gardens people. After a few transfers he got the state's foremost cactus expert who asked him many questions. How Tall is it? Has it flowered? etc.
Finally he asked the most disturbing question. "Is your family in the house?" The bloke answered yes. The cactus expert said get out of the house NOW, get on to the front nature strip and wait for me, I will be there in 20 minutes.
Fifteen minutes later, 2 fire trucks, 2 police cars and an ambulance came screaming around the corner. A fireman got out and asked "Are you the bloke with the cactus?" I am, he said. A guy jumped out of the fire truck wearing what looked like a space suit, a breathing cylinder and mask attached to what looked like a scuba backpack with a large hose attached. He headed for the backyard and turned a flame-thrower on the cactus spraying it up and down.
After a few minutes the flame-thrower man stopped, the cactus stood smoking and spitting, half the fence was burnt and parts of the gardens were well and truly scorched. Just then the cactus expert appeared and laid a calming hand on the bloke's shoulder. "What the hell's going on?" he says. "Let me show you" says the cactus man. He went over to the cactus and picked away a crusty bit, the cactus was almost entirely hollow and filled with tiger striped bird-eating tarantula spiders, each about the size of two hand spans.
The story was that this type of spider lays eggs in this type of cactus and they hatch and live in it as they grow to full size. When full size they release themselves. The cactus just explodes and about 150 dinner plate sized hairy spiders are flung from it, dispersing everywhere. They had been ready to pop. The aftermath was that the house and the adjoining houses had to be vacated and fumigated: police tape was put up outside the whole area and no one was allowed in for two weeks."

Ja. Pflanzen können auf sich selbst aufpassen. Allerdings brauchen sie, nachdem sie domestiziert wurden, was ja auf die meisten Zimmerpflanzen zutrifft, schon auch ein gewisses maß an Pflege. Meist reicht einfaches Wasser geben aus, ja man muss sie noch nicht einmal teuer verpflegen.

Hier das Bild einiger Pflanzen die auch in gewöhnlichen Haushalten in Europa vorkommen. Besonders bekannt, der Ficus, von dem hier leider hier nur den Stamm abgebildet ist, da die gesamtgröße des Baumes den Fotorahmen gesprengt hätte. Also, liebe zurückgebliebenen.. nehmt euch ein Beispiel am Potenzial das in diesen Pflanzen steckt und liebt und pflegt eure (und meine) Pflanzen, obwohl sie ja in Gefangenschaft nie ihre wahre Größe erreichen können und immer kleine Abbilder der Wirklichkeit sind, welche um das Leben ringen.

...lösen Dokumentarfilme in einem Land aus?

Der Film "Darwins nightmare" wurde in Mwanza, dem Gebiet in Tanzania rund um den Viktoriasee gedreht. Die Bevölkerung des betroffenen Gebietes, sowie diejenigen, die den Film gesehen haben stehem dem Film durchwegs positiv gegenüber, doch die Regierung scheint nun in Sauper einen Feind des Landes gefunden zu haben. Die Überschrift über dem Bild nebenan weist auf "die Anschuldigungen Saupers" hin, welcher hauptsächlich Lügen verbreiten soll (tut er nicht). Die verschiedensten Zeitungen haben darüber berichtet.

Wir trauern um unsere liebe Gotti, eine liebe Freundin, welche uns lange Zeit durch ihre schnellen Fluegelschlaege und daraus resultierenden Flugmanoever ihre Zuneigung gestand. Sie winkte uns regelmaessig zu und neigte ihren dreieckigen Alienkopf anmutig zur Seite bevor sie sich zum Schlafen begab. Zuletzt leider am falschen Ort. Sie konnte die Gefahr im Tuerstock wohl nicht richtig einschaetzen und starb mit einem lauten Knall. Wir waren mit ihr, in ihren letzten Hundertstelsekunden.

Heute dürfen wir an einem einzigartiges Naturschauspiel teilhaben und eine normalerweise flugunfähige Familie von Pinguinen, bei ihrem Flug Richtung Osten beobachten. Besonders ist auch, dass diese, in besonderer Weise an das Leben im Meer und den teilweise extremen Kältezonen der Erde angepassten Neukiefernvögel (welche zu den Sphenisciformes gezählt werden) auf der Nordhalbkugel fern ab vom Meer gesichtet wurden, obwohl sie in Natura normalerweise nur auf der Südhalbkugel leben. Ein faszinierendes Ereignis welches durch eine geistesgegenwärtige Zuggästin in wunderbarer Weise verfilmt wurde.

Bodenwölkchen

Am Rofan gibt es kleine Bodenwölkchen, die offensichtlich mit den allseitsbekannten Wolken am Himmel verwandt sind. Sie scheinen auch zu regnen, denn sie stehen alle in kleinen Pfützen herum. Gottseidank gibt es in so heißen Zeiten wie diesen noch Pflanzen, die dem Klimawandel trotzen!

Eine weitere Besonderheit im Rofan sind Gipfelkreuze, die man aufgrund von Lebensgefahr nicht erklimmen kann. Wir sahen uns deshalb gezwungen, lebende Gipfelkreuze nachzustellen.

habe ich diesen künstlerisch wertvollen und sehr treffenden Beitrag im Gipfelbuch des Spitzmandl gefunden. Ich möchte mich dafür bei Daniel und Amigo herzlich bedanken, weil er mich unglaublich erheitert hat :D

Maultrommeln

Nie hätte ich geglaubt dass ich einmal jemanden treffen könnte der verrückt genug ist den lieben langen Tag mit Maultrommeln durch die Gegend zu laufen. Und - puff - vor ein paar wochen ist es wirklich passiert: Kontakt mit diesen lieben kleinen Metalldingern durch einen Verrückten (Danke Nelson). Ich war mit diesen Instrumenten ja eigentlich schon seit Kindstagen betraut... stellten sie trotzdem nicht mehr als ein lärmendes Spielzeug für mich dar, mit welchen ich eigentlich nicht wirklich was anzufangen wusste. Älter und ein wenig reifer habe ich jetzt begriffen dass man mit Maultrommeln richtige Musik machen kann.

How to play jaw harps:

1. Find a harp that is in one of the middle octaves, preferably C. As your skills improve, you can experiment with high- and low-octave jaw harps, which are more difficult to master.
2. Pick up the jaw harp with your fingers while you avoid touching the tongue of the harp.
3. Put the harp in your mouth touching the front of your teeth and hold it firmly with your teeth. If it rattles, you need to bite down harder.
4. Close your lips around the harp with its tongue sticking out.
5. Pluck the tongue of the harp gently with your middle or index finger. Either raise your elbow and pluck with your finger parallel to the tongue, or hold your hand perpendicular to the tongue and move your wrist while plucking with your finger. Pluck to the beat of the music.
6. Create vowel sounds in your mouth without actually saying the sounds. This changes the formation of the space in your mouth, which changes the sound that is created.
7. Move your tongue while inhaling or exhaling to change the space inside your mouth.
8. Experiment creating hard consonant sounds such as a "k" or "t."
9. Match your voice sound to the sound of the harp for tranquil, peaceful music. Contrast your voice pitch from the sound of the harp to create more jarring music.

Tips: Make sure to remove your finger from the tongue of the jaw harp after plucking it, or it will mute the sound.

! Warnings !: Drooling is extremely common when learning the jaw harp. Don't be alarmed. As you become more familiar with the jaw harp, this will stop.
